Ports 1961 was founded by Luke Tanabe in Toronto in 1961. SSFW documents 65 collections, 2008–2023; the archive includes resort, pre-fall, and menswear. A concrete marker of the label’s early identity is its 1960s knitwear and travel-ready separates, which helped define the house’s practical, transnational wardrobe.
